Back To The Basics.. HTML web developing.

After messing around with joomla and wordpress I figured it was time to go back to the basics and create a few sites based on good ole HTML instead of the PHP opensource templates I had been experimenting with. Figured I’d create a site for myself so there weren’t any clients to upset (other than myself hehe). Here is the final product in the form of a self-plug

Decided to give wordpress a try and so far I am really enjoying it. No adsense on the wordpress hosted sites was a let down so I decided to host my wordpress site elsewhere to give adsense a try. More to come..

Joomla learning experiences

These style sites are very visually appealing and are easy for clients to maintain and update once the site is designed. We will be posting our experiences as we master Joomla while creating a portfolio of sites based on this amazing tool. The social media world has a reputation of being very liberal and while participating within these networks over the past few months, I have to say I agree 100%. While perusing Digg.com you will discover that any submission or comment bad mouthing Obama and his campaign will get an absurd amount of thumbs downs and will be buried by a vast amount of people. On the other hand anything bad mouthing McCain and his campaign will be highly “dugg” and have many comments agreeing with the original submission. Obama and his camp better try and shut down the SMM world on election day or many of his supporters will be too busy on some social media site to have time to vote.

(This is just a Social Media Marketing observation and in no way is an attempt to support either candidate)

After completing various freelance digital marketing projects such as our close friend’s chula vista produce market website in its entirety (content, photos, SEO, design and implementaion) my brother and myself have decided to dive head first into the crazy world of internet marketingand web development. We have finally gotten around to giving our own website some much needed love and have been keeping ourselves very busy designing and developing SouthBayIntegration.com and hope to have it finished and ready to present at our next client meeting. I am beyond excited about this opportunity and will be sure to share my experiences on this blog as I learn from my mistakes (and hopefully benefit from my successes).
